Gospel Care Ministry
Myanmar Theological and Mission Resources is not only dedicated to advancing theological education in Myanmar but also actively cares for and supports ministries related to the gospel and mission work, including orphanages, Christian schools, and adoption centers.
Given Myanmar’s long-standing association with drugs and armed conflict, many of the children in these orphanages and adoption centers come from deeply broken backgrounds. Their parents may have died from drug use, been imprisoned for drug trafficking, or abandoned them due to poverty and inability to provide care. These children are taken in by pastors, given opportunities to study, and most importantly, nurtured in the gospel. Following the guidance of Scripture—“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6)—they are taught the Word of God so that they may grow in the right path. This approach has prevented many children from losing direction due to family tragedy and instead has led them to find both the right path in life and the Savior of their souls. Some have even gone on to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, and pastors who contribute positively to society and the nation.
Most orphanages and centers strive to be self-sustaining. However, due to Myanmar’s struggling economy and the resulting decrease in donations, many of them are now facing financial shortfalls. Yet, the children still require daily food, education, and medical care, which in the long run creates immense challenges for these institutions.
Since these orphanages, Christian schools, and adoption centers are rooted in mission and evangelism, Myanmar Theological and Mission Resources is actively involved in their support. We hope to provide regular assistance, particularly to help cover daily food expenses (approximately 15 USD per day).
On average, one orphanage or center requires 300 USD per month in food subsidies. We invite you to share in this ministry with your concern and participation.
